Event Production: Laughter in Da City (Live Recording)
The Challenge: Live comedy is notoriously difficult to film. Timing is everything. If the camera misses a reaction or the audio isn’t crisp, the joke lands flat for the online viewer. MC White needed a production team that could capture not just the stage performance, but the electric energy of the audience, without being obtrusive during the live show.

MC White needed a production team that could capture not just the stage performance, but the electric energy of the audience, without being obtrusive during the live show.
Solutions:
We deployed a cinematic multi-cam setup to ensure no angle was missed.
Audio Engineering: We didn’t rely on camera microphones. We tapped directly into the venue’s soundboard for a Master Feed while placing ambient shotgun microphones in the crowd. This allowed us to balance the comedian’s voice perfectly with the audience’s laughter in post-production.
Lighting Strategy: We collaborated with the stage crew to ensure the lighting was optimized for 4K sensors, eliminating “flicker” and ensuring skin tones looked natural, not washed out.
Camera Operation: We utilized a 3-point setup: A wide master shot for context, a telephoto zoom for close-up expressions, and a roving gimbal operator for dynamic audience reactions.
The Impact
The high-fidelity audio and sharp visuals elevated the brand perception of Laughter in Da City. The promotional clips generated significantly higher engagement on social media, directly aiding ticket sales for the subsequent show.
